This past weekend, we took Chubby back to Little Prince Cafe. According to mommie, Chubby had so much fun last time but daddy missed it all due to work. We grabbed a quick lunch at the Cheesecake Factory, and then spent a few hours at the mall. Chubby walking at the mall video HERE.

Who killed Domo?

Ever since Chubby Feet started walking, his bottom no longer sticks with his high chair =T. Is it discipline time yet?

Bye Bye Mr. Lion & Mr. Giraffe

Dear Mr. Lion and Mr. Giraffe,

Just wanted to let you guys know that you’ve been of great help during Chubby’s first year of growing.  Words could not express how much we appreciate your help on those painful teething nights.  I’m pretty sure Chubby is really sad to part with you both but we really think this is the time to say good bye.  Thanks Mr. Lion and Mr. Giraffe again.  Oh last but not least, if Mr. Teddy see this note, I want to say thanks to you too and Chubby didn’t mean to “misplace” you at ToysRus.  I hope you’re in a better place now.

Love Always,

Chubby’s Mom

P.S. Chubby has been officially pacifier free since March 19th, 2011.

Too many pokes

It has almost been 3 months since Chubby’s last blood test.  Chubby had to take another blood test to check his iron level.  We were waiting in front of the room and there was a kid screaming like crazy trying to get out of the chair.  Why do we have to be placed in front of this room?  Watching this other kid screams is the least we want Chubby to see. Luckily Chubby could care less and was not scared but mommie felt heartbreaking for that little guy.

New car seat for Chubby Feet

IMG_1991 IMG_1992

Since the massive earthquake in Japan that we all heard about, there has been a lot of saying that a big one for Los Angeles is due anytime soon. Bear bear mommie with her natural protective instinct, has everything prepared for of course. But not until we checked the list that we realized we didn’t have a lot of the things listed on the earthquake kit. So after shopping and packing for the everyone’s kit, we went to find another car seat for daddy’s car. Just in case if there IS really a big earthquake, then at least either daddy or mommie can come pick up Chubby right away! However, finding the right car seat wasn’t an easy task, one that fits in the back of daddy’s car that is. After several running back and forth in and out of the stores, we finally found one. We didn’t want any cheap plastic seat with a thin foam wrap, and a strap. We want something that fits, but at least be protective. We have the Britax in our bigger car, but it just won’t fit in the smaller one. This Safety1st Complete Air 65 fits snugly in the back seat and will hold up to 65 lbs, at least Chubby will have a good use of it for a few years to come.  Chubby seems to be very comfortable in it too. Never realized Chubby’s leg grew so long, the passenger seat has to move up quite a bit Haha. Happy riding with daddy, Chubby =)

The walking Chubster

we1

@ 14.5 months – The walking Chubster is coming!! According to his daycare teachers, he has been getting up and walking on his own a lot lately. Seems like he is still developing strength on his teeny little feety, a little wobbling but efficient enough to drain his mom’s energy everyday.

March 11, 2011 Japan- A Day to Remember

Dearest Chubby,

On this day, I wanted to let you know on March 11, 2011,  a powerful 9.0 earthquake has strike Japan, followed by a tsunami, sweeping away boats, cars, homes and people as widespread fires burned out of control.  The following next day, they discovered the two major nuclear power plants were damaged and has been releasing radiation and people around the area has to be evacuate.  Fortunately, we saw auntie Ayami and uncle Kaz messages on facebook that they are all doing fine.  You know our chusbster family loves Japan.  Its really heart-wrenching to see the country that you love is going through all these.  Chubby, I wanted to let you know there are a lot of kids who lost their parents or were separated from their family.    We are the fortunate ones that are still going through our daily lives while the others are going through devastated tough times.  Sadly, we do not qualify to help much but we should always lend a helping  hand to others, so on this day, we have donated some money for you to help Japan.  We know Japan will rise again!  We should all learn from them,  people of Japan all coming together to help each other. Together as one and we will all make a difference.   Our hearts are with you all.  We heart you, Japan! Stay strong!
